It contains a voltmeter circuit that can be used to measure the DC output voltage of the equipment undergoing test, adjustable load bank and ammeter circuit that can be used to apply the required load to the equipment undergoing test, and a field rheostat that can be used for generator output control and regulator checks. The test set is a portable test set contained in a metal carrying case. Two (2) carrying handles are provided at the side of the case. A hinged top cover protects the instrument against damage when it is not in use. All operating controls, meter, and binding posts are located on a top panel which is accessible when the top cover is raised. The sides of the case are slotted to permit forced air ventilation of the internal load bank by an internal fan. A storage compartment at the rear of the case provides space for storing accessories applied as part of the test set. Manual on file Test set comes with all necessary cables and wires.
