The test stand is a dual system hydraulic pumping unit designed to check the performance and operating characteristics of aircraft hydraulic systems.
Provides a source of hydraulic fluid at controlled pressures and flow rates to operate the hydraulic components without the necessary of starting the aircraft engine.
Tests the aircraft hydraulic system for evidence of component malfunction and leakage.
Drains fluid and refills the aircraft hydraulic system with micronically filtered hydraulic fluid.
Provides a source of hydraulic power for static proof pressure testing of aircraft systems and components at pressure of up to 5000 PSI @ 15 GPM
The test stand is capable of simultaneous two (2) system operation, performance characteristics, and environmental restrictions. The test stand consist of two (2) hydraulic test system, two (2) control panels, two fill and vent systems, a warning system, two batteries, cabinet, trailer and diesel engine. The two hydraulic test systems and fill and vent systems are identical and independent. The hydraulic test system are powered by a Detroit Diesel Engine, series 6V-53N, model no. 5063-5000, mounted in the test stand housing, and the fill system pump is driven by a 24 VDC motor.
Each hydraulic test system consists of an axial piston type, high pressure pump. The pump is a variable stroke, pressure compensated type with adjustable volume control. Integal to the high pressure pump is a low pressure boost pump. The boost pump supplies a minimum of 40 GPM of filtered fluid to the fluid to the high pressure pump.
