Description/Function of unit
The chamber consists of the outer shell with flanged removable ends the 77K and 30 inner shield the liquid helium inner tank the LN² out tank not shown.
The chamber has 16 flanged ports they are;
6 each, 15" Fled ports
1 each, 21" Fled ports
4 each, 10" Fled ports
1 each, 6" Fled ports
3 each, 4" Flanged ports
In addition to the flanged ports are the following pipe ports
1 each, 10"
1 each, 6"
4 each, 3"
The tank was originally used in a large research firm to conduct testing of extreme cryogenic temperatures under vacuum. The tank ports serve to act as feed through and to provide connection to external roughing and high vacuum pumps. In addition the flanges will feed the liquid helium cold should shield and high capacity tank.
The inner shields and tanks may be removed allowing the full inside area of the chamber to test large satellites and other aerospace items.
