FULL CHARGE BOOKKEEPER
American Lab & Systems is seeking an experienced full charge bookkeeper. We offer good benefits at competitive wages.
- Bookkeeper with A/P, A/R, Payroll and Month End Close Experience.
- Preferred but not required experience in bank reconciliations/GL in addition to payroll and administrative tasks.
- Must be able to solve accounting problems, organize the accounting operations and ensure all accounting functions are running productively.
- Must be comfortable handling office administrative and clerical duties.
- 3+ years of experience as a full charge bookkeeper required.
- Strong Excel and QuickBooks skills.
- Mathematical and analytical skills.
- Verbal and written communications skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Verify, allocate and post details of business transactions to subsidiary accounts in journals or computer files from documents such as sales slips, invoices, receipts, check stubs and computer printouts
- Job cost accounting (Budget vs. Actual Reports)
- Monthly financial reports; financial statements;
- General Ledger, Trial Balances, Balance Sheets
- Payroll processing: Quarterly and Annual Payroll Tax Returns, W2s and 1099s
- Sales Tax Returns, Business License Renewals, Business Property Statements
- Journal Entries and Bank Reconciliations
- Pension Accounting
- Stay current on filing and other administrative tasks
- Meet established time lines, and pre-defined goals for assigned work
- Person to answer phones, work with sales, and type up quotes.
This position calls for a person that wears many hats and works directly with the president of the company.
